Halloween

WE LOVE AUTUMN!
Here are just a few shots of some of the happenings
in our home lately.

Here is Lincoln checking out his pumkin carving skills.

Sorry this photo is a little dark!

Here is our scary little skeleton man! The bones acutally glow in the dark. It was quite a sight to see those skinny bones running around after dark!

Lincoln has loved playing in the leaves!

Happy Birthday Lincoln!

On August 31st, Lincoln turned 2 years old. I can't believe my little baby is two! Lincoln loves watermelon, it is more of an obsession really. So, I thought it would be fitting to put two candles in a giant slice of Lincoln's passion. I think he liked it!

Lincoln, daddy and I love you so much! We have loved every minute of these last two years and can't wait to experience what the future brings! Love ya Linc!

Here is Dave and Lincoln in front of a giant inflatable watermelon at the Oregon State Fair. I am pretty sure Lincoln thought he had died and gone to heaven. Sorry buddy!

Utah!!!

Visiting the amazing Rock Candy Mountain and Bryce Canyon National Park. Truly amazing!

Aunt Heather and Lincoln with is eighth...no, ninth piece of watermelon.

One of my favorite pastimes, putting the sprinkler under the tramp. Lincoln having a ball with uncles Jairus and Gavin. Thanks for playing!

lovin' the beach

Here are some pics from our beach trip on the Fourth of July

Lincoln loved wriggling his toes in the sand. Isn't this beach so beautiful? We love Oregon!

Summa, summa, summa time!

Believe it or not, I turned 25 this year. I know you are all stunned...yeah right! I had such a fabulous birthday hanging out with my family. We rocked it on the golf course, had a great lunch from Bascos burgers, visited the Portland Rose Garden and ate yummy PF Changs for dinner! Thanks for a great day boys!

Here are Lincoln and Dave just stopping to smell the roses!

I may look compsed in this shot, but here is what I was thinking...keep your head down, focus on the ball, put your head back down, why is Lincoln crying, do I really want to use this club, why do you keep lifting your head, hit the ball already...then I did! Despite my constant haggling of myself I had a great time. Thanks for showing me the ropes Dave, you are a great teacher!

Chillin' in the cart!

Dance Moves by Lincoln

Grandma and Grandpa Parkinson bought this muscial birthday card for Lincoln.

As you can see....he loves it! Pretty sure we can give Tara credit for teaching him these moves.

We just opened the card and he started shakin' that size 6 diaper....

Jairus Visits Forest Grove!

So, we pretty much had an awesome time while my brother, Jairus, came to visit us. Dave and Jairus are sitting at the bottom of the Indian God of death, don't look into his eyes! Just kidding! This is an Indian Longhouse at Fort Stevens, near Astoria, Orgeon.

Sargent Keith and Leiutenant Parkinson getting revved up to go on a driving excursion. Don't worry Lincoln only has his learners permit.

Jairus and I look out from the command station! Looks pretty serious!

After all was said and done, the boys had to go to timeout for having too much fun!

Don't worry, it's not loaded...or is it???

This is an old war battery from World War II. It was really neat to try an imagine what this place would have been like during its glory days. It was also a little creepy!

Here we are at Cannon Beach! It was a lot of fun visiting the beach at low tide. We were able to see crabs, fish, and even ginormous starfish. Pretty cool!

Just having a tender moment...so was that lady in the background.

This was Jairus keeping Lincoln entertained! Lincoln was laughing so hard he could barely breathe. What a great uncle! Thanks for a great week with a lot of laughs! Love ya!

Camping!!!

We had such a fabulous time camping at the Champooeg (cham-poo-ee) Campground. We were lucky enough to be joined by our friends, the Pitts and the Johansens. We basked in the glorious outdoors, even while it rained, and thoroughly enjoyed roasting hotdogs, starburst, and even concocting some delicious s'mores. Lincoln really enjoyed playing in the dirt, freaking his mom out while walking around the fire pit, and throwing rocks in the Williamette River. He also loved playing with his friend, Ryan. Isn't she so cute!
Just lovin' the great outdoors!

We loved having Jairus come and visit us! Please come back soon!
Thanks everyone for a fabulous time!

It's official!

With finals ending this past week, I feel it is appropriate, no rather necessary, to celebrate the completion of Dave's first year of Optometry school. It is exciting to think that he has officially earned his "O", you know, in O.D.! Dave, we are so proud of you and all of your hard work! Lincoln and I feel so blessed to have to you as a husband, father, and friend. Now it is is time to party! Love ya honey!

Yum Yum!

Lincoln loves yogurt...as this video will show

So, for Easter we gave Lincoln this cool lawn mower that blows bubbles when you push it. I knew he would like it...I just didn't know how much! Lincoln, we love you!

Puddle jumpin' and awesome neighbors!

We think Lincoln has come to the conclusion that he is not satisfied with himself unless he jumps in...falls in...throws rocks in...etc in...every puddle he sees. I never knew a kid could love water so much!

This was given to Lincoln by our sweet neighbor, Elna. She made the basket herself...man she puts me to shame. Lincoln loved the fun stuff she gave him. And I, I did my motherly duty and ate all of his good candy. Comes with the job, right?

Just when you think he can't get any cuter...

he does...
I just wanted to publicly thank my Heavenly Father for blessing our family with this sweet little guy. We love him so much and don't know how we ever lived without him!

This is Lincoln with his mouth stuffed full of his favorite food, Watermelon. I bet Lincoln's dreams are full of slides, puddles, him biting other kids and not getting in trouble, balls, and him being able to eat whole watermelons! YUM!

It is official! Lincoln is now wearing size 6 diapers. For those of you who don't know...size six is the last size they make. He is only 19 months for crying out loud. I guess he will be sporting Depends next! Let's hope not!

So, Grandma and Grandpa Parkinson gave Lincoln this Elmo Live when they came to visit. It is amazing! He dances, tells stories, tells jokes, sits and stands, oh and did I mention he comes to life at night? Seriously, there have been a few nights when I hear Elmo start laughing or sitting down when everyone is asleep. I will be honest, it kind of freaks me out. He is still way cool. However, if I wake up in he middle of the night and he is standing in my doorway asking me to tickle him...he is a goner!
